Read this article if you’ve ever gone to the movies. Normally I can’t stand Roger Ebert, but he nailed this one: http://bit.ly/sU3y6F
The Host = BEsT MOVVIEEEEIEEEE EVAAARRRR.
And no I don’t mean the kick-ass Korean monster movie (with more cyanide than you can possibly imagine). I’m talking about Stephanie Meyer’s recent new piece of great American literature. I know a lot of you have read it by now, but I’d like to fill in the details for those of you who are as surprised as I was when I read that it got picked up for a movie (and had to go...
Cleveland Literature
buckeyenerd:
“It was the best of times; it was the worst of times.”
This oft-quoted line was written by Charles Dickens in his classic novel A Tale of Two Cities. Clearly Mr. Dickens was not a Browns fan. If he was, he would have known that all he needed was the second half of that sentence.
Doubtless, these are dark days for the Cleveland sports faithful. Despite the Indians’ surprising success...

I visited my doctor last week, and he told me I had to stop masturbating. I asked him why, surely it’s not dangerous. He said it was distracting him.
My previous post was inspired by the one-and-only Claire. Give her a follow, she’s pretty awesome (and so is her Tumblr).
Project X Trailer
So… there’s this movie being released next March entitled Project X. You can check the IMDB page for it here. Essentially it’s a found-footage film about 3 high schoolers who throw a party that gets out of hand. It’s such an original concept that I just don’t know how someone is just now creating this movie. Seriously, check this trailer out:

To You Walking Dead Haters
zombee:
It is the first of its kind. It is only in its second season. It has the consummate approval of Robert Kirkman. It is fantasy. It is true to its own mythos. The gore is tasteful and not overwhelming. The characters are complex and the plot is intriguing, even when the acting and writing is bad.
Give it a break. Let it find its voice. Let it be a revolution of TV. Discuss,...
AVENGERS TRAILER AVENGERS TRAILER AVENGERS TRAILER http://trailers.apple.com/trailers/marvel/avengers/
You’ve GOT to be kidding me. Trailers may be misleading, but the point is to convince the average (dumb) moviegoer into paying for a ticket. Take five minutes to look up the film online before going to see it if you really want to know what it’s about. ...

Spending Friday night with the characters from Dance with Dragons. Not my ideal choice, but at least it’s THE BEST BOOK SERIES OF ALL TIME.

At the airport the young man heard far-off drums echoing in the night. He imagined the young woman in the plane sitting still, hearing whispers of a quiet conversation near the rear of the fuselage. He glanced down at his father’s wristwatch—12:30. The flight was on time.
The plane’s wings...

The new Mission Impossible movie looks… really good. Tom Cruise, Josh Holloway, Jeremy Renner, AND Simon Pegg? I’m on board.
Plus the trailer looks sweet as hell.
Yuengling is finally coming to Ohio →
Why am I so excited? Because I’m a beer connoisseur, and I loves me some Yuengling. If you don’t want to read the article, here is what someone from the company said about why it has taken them so long to expand to Ohio:
“Ohio is one of largest states in the country and in terms of beer consumption, and we needed to make sure that when we did come, we were able to service the...

Okay, so that was fairly entertaining. I’ll give it a reblog.

I used to work in a dockside bar that was, to put it mildly, a little rough.
It all began after I moved to this well-known (and utterly crap) port town. The town itself was bad enough, rammed full of ne’er-do-wells and a smorgasbord of freaks, but the closer you got to the port the worse the punters became. The vile...
Dear History Professor,
“Only giving out a certain number of A’s” does not increase the integrity of getting that letter grade, nor does it make your class any less worthless.
Also, limiting the number of A’s is not “University standards”.
But anyways, congratulations on being worthy of only teaching an internet-based course.

Dear Earth,
I bought a present for you, since it’s Earth Day and all. Unfortunately I ate it on the way home, so the only thing left is the wrapper. I’ll just leave it in the front yard for you.
Happy Earth Day!
Love,
Brandon
